The materials mainly used are oak hardwood for the handrail, stainless steel for the scupper, and plaster cement for the exterior wall finish. The Curved wood handrail is fabricated by CNC technology. To obtain a high-quality design representation, we use plastic to 3d-printing all steel elements by sanding, painting, and plating. We added 11.8 inches handrail on the short 31.5 inches parapet. Meanwhile, the vertical opening is embedded as a handrail supporting and grid scupper box, as well as balcony drainage channels. They are bolted and welded together.

EXPLOSION RENDERING

AXONOMETRIC VIEW

Handrail as a drainage system consists of multiple steel plates. The flow of rainwater is not only vertically square, but also horizontally. The metal plates, walls and wooden handrails have a uniform curvature to make the detail more integral, mapping the concept of the detail trinity.
